More Dryland Records Broken!

Our last morning dryland (before the taper begins) was this morning with a final 1 mile run for time at the end of the practice.  Cameron Quisenberry and Mackenzie Morris (who will both be sophomores at DCHS in the fall) rewrote the record books again today.  After being informed that his 2 mile record was crushed by Michael Polio last week by 30 seconds, Cameron ran a 5:25.61  mile to beat Michael's 5:36!  Mackenzie broke her own 5:55 team record with a 5:50.01 today!

At our final 6:00 AM Dawn Patrol last Tuesday, Michael ran a 12:20.00 for the 2 mile run and Mackenzie ran a 13:38.52 to claim the record.

Most of the swimmers that have attended all the dryland practices have certainly put in a lot of hard work this summer which will carry over into their taper and into the short course season.    I am particularly proud of the consistency of Attitude, Attendance and especially EFFORT of:  Will Alvey and Sam Hall!!   They have truly been inspirational to coach as they have made great strides in increasing their strength, power, speed and agility with all the work they have put it this summer in and out of the pool- Congratulations!!!
